Caramel popcorn
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- brown sugar - 2 c
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- margarine - 1 c
- light corn syrup - 1/2 c
- popped popcorn - 6 qt
How to make caramel popcorn:
Bring margarine, sugar, salt and corn syrup to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil without stirring for 5 minutes. Remove from heat; add baking soda and vanilla. Pour over popcorn and mix well. Place coated popcorn in 2 large buttered cake pans. Bake at 250°, stirring every 15 minutes, for about an hour.Optional: Peanuts can be added.
