  • salt - 1 tsp
  • water - 1 c
  • dash of salt - 1 item
  • warm water - 1/4 c
  • curry powder - 1/4 c
  • clove garlic, finely minced - 1 item
  • butter or vegetable oil - 1 tsp
  • plain hulled pumpkin seeds - 2 c

How to make curried pumpkin seeds:

In a saucepan, mix curry powder, water, garlic and salt. When well blended, add 1 cup water and heat until liquid simmers. Add pumpkin seeds and simmer for 5 minutes.

Preheat oven to 225°. Spread seeds on a cookie sheet. Dot with butter or oil and sprinkle with salt. Toast in oven until crisp, about 30 minutes. Yields 2 cups.
