Curried pumpkin seeds
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 1 c
- dash of salt - 1 item
- warm water - 1/4 c
- curry powder - 1/4 c
- clove garlic, finely minced - 1 item
- butter or vegetable oil - 1 tsp
- plain hulled pumpkin seeds - 2 c
How to make curried pumpkin seeds:
In a saucepan, mix curry powder, water, garlic and salt. When well blended, add 1 cup water and heat until liquid simmers. Add pumpkin seeds and simmer for 5 minutes.Preheat oven to 225°. Spread seeds on a cookie sheet. Dot with butter or oil and sprinkle with salt. Toast in oven until crisp, about 30 minutes. Yields 2 cups.
