Ingredients/Components

  • popped corn - 3 qt
  • white sugar - 1 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • syrup - 1/2 c
  • vinegar - 1 tsp
  • butter - 1 tsp

How to make caramel corn:

Mix syrup, vinegar, salt and butter in a 2-quart saucepan. Stirring constantly, bring mixture to a boil over medium heat. Boil gently until the mixture reaches the hard crack stage in water (290°). Add soda and mix well. Pour foamy mixture over popped corn and stir to mix well.
