  • sugar - 2 c
  • water - 1 c
  • vinegar - 1 tsp
  • red food coloring - 1 tsp
  • apples - 1 doz
  • white corn syrup - 1 c

How to make candy apples:

Combine water, sugar, vinegar, syrup and food coloring in large saucepan. Cook slowly, stirring constantly, until candy reaches hard-ball stage. Spoon over apples until coated. Let stand on wax paper.
