Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2/3 c
- brown sugar - 2/3 c
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- baking soda - 1/4 tsp
- pumpkin - 2/3 c
- allspice - 1/2 tsp
- beaten eggs - 2 item
- cake flour - 2 c
- melted shortening - 4 Tbsp
- maple flavoring - 1 tsp
How to make pumpkin cake:
Sift dry ingredients on wax paper. In mixing bowl, combine remaining ingredients and mix well with dry ingredients. Stir in 1 cup chopped walnuts. Pour into two greased 8-inch baking pans. Bake 30 minutes in 350° oven. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan. Use Brown Sugar Icing and decorate with Halloween candy.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Vegetables.
