Candied sweet potatoes
Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
- light brown sugar - 1 Tbsp
- ground cinnamon - 1/8 tsp
- sweet potaotes or yams, drained
- sweet potato syrup from can - 1/2 c
How to make candied sweet potatoes:
Preheat oven to 375°. Combine syrup, butter, sugar and cinnamon in sauce kettle. Simmer 10 minutes. Place sweet potatoes in casserole dish. Bake in hot oven, basting with syrup mixture frequently until potatoes are glazed and hot through. Serves 4.Recipe categories: Side dish, Potato, Yam/sweet potato.
