Ingredients/Components

  • grated cheese - 1/2 lb
  • can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
  • hard-boiled eggs, diced - 3 item
  • cans asparagus - 3 item

How to make asparagus casserole:

Drain asparagus well. (Use juice to thin soup, if needed.) Heat soup. If too thick, add asparagus juice to thin. Set aside.

Butter your baking dish. Layer 1 1/2 cans asparagus, 1/2 of cheese and all of the diced eggs. Add the rest of the asparagus and cheese. Pour soup over all. Can be topped with bread crumbs or crushed potato chips. Bake at 400° for 30 minutes or more. Serves 8 to 10.
