Ingredients/Components

  • 1/2 sticks butter or margarine - 1 item
  • pkg - 1 oz
  • all-purpose flour - 2 c
  • dash of salt - 1 item
  • Divide dough
  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp

How to make apple pie:

Mix butter and cream cheese; cut into flour and salt. Divide dough. Roll half on lightly floured board. Place in bottom of pie plate. Roll out remainder of dough and set aside for top.Filling:4 large, firm apples, peeled and cored2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour3/4 c. sugar1 tsp. vanilla1/2 tsp. salt2 Tbsp. butter or margarine Slice apples into prepared pie shell. Mix sugar, flour and salt. Sprinkle over apples. Sprinkle with vanilla. Dot with margarine. Fit the top crust over pie and cut slits in top crust for steam to escape. Bake at 400° for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 300° and bake for an additional 35 to 40 minutes.
