Sweet potato pie
Ingredients/Components
- butter, softened - 1/3 c
- sugar - 1/2 c
- eggs, lightly beaten - 2 item
- evaporated milk - 3/4 c
- mashed sweet potatoes - 2 c
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- unbaked pie shell 9-inch - 1 item
How to make sweet potato pie:
Cream the butter and sugar. Add eggs; mix well. Add milk, sweet potatoes, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Mix well. Pour into pie shell and bake at 425° for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350° and bake for 35 to 40 minutes longer or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool. Store in refrigerator.
