Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- water - 1/4 c
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 2 Tbsp
- active dry yeast - 1 pkg
- milk, scalded - 1 c
How to make yeast rolls:
Soften dry yeast in warm water. Combine milk, sugar, salt and shortening . Cool to lukewarm. Add 1 cup flour and beat well. Beat in yeast and egg. Gradually add remaining flour to form soft dough, kneading well. Cover and let rise in warm place until dough doubles. Turn onto floured surface and shape as desired. Bake at 375° for 20 minutes.
