Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 3 item
- milk
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- melted butter
- sifted all-purpose flour
How to make popovers:
Preheat oven to 450°. Oil 12-cup muffin pan and put in preheated oven 10 minutes, until very hot.Whisk together milk, eggs, melted butter, flour and salt, in a small mixing bowl, until smooth. Divide mixture among muffin cups, filling each one three-quarters full.
Bake popovers for 15 minutes, then, without opening oven door, reduce temperature to 400°. Continue baking, until popovers have puffed and doubled in size, about 15 minutes more. They will be firm and well browned.
