  • sugar - 1 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • water - 3/4 c
  • shredded coconut
  • dark corn syrup - 1 c

How to make coconut candy:

Combine all ingredients except coconut in a saucepan and stir until sugar is dissolved. Cook to 245° on a candy thermometer or firm ball stage. Remove from heat and add coconut. Mix well. Drop by spoonfuls on buttered cookie sheet. Shape into peaked mounds. Sweet and chewy.
