White bean chicken chili
Ingredients/Components
- cans chicken broth low-sodium - 2 item
- large onion, diced - 1 item
- minced garlic
- small can green chilies, chopped with liquid - 1 item
- jar Great Northern beans - 48 oz
- cumin - 2 tsp
- oregano - 2 tsp
- to 4 dashes Tabasco sauce - 3 item
- chicken breasts - 4 item
How to make white bean chicken chili:
Cook chicken breasts lightly brown (about 45 minutes). Let chicken cool. When cool, cut in bite size pieces. Put enough broth in soup pot to cover bottom. Saut onions and garlic in it. Add chilies to pot with beans and liquid. Stir well. Mix in cumin, oregano and Tabasco. Add the rest of broth and the chicken. Turn heat up to a slight boil and stir. Turn heat down to medium-low. Cover with a lid and cook for 45 minutes.Great as is or you can top with sour cream and Cheddar when serving.
