  • eggs - 3 item
  • chopped pecans - 1/2 c
  • milk - 1 c
  • salad oil - 1 c
  • box white cake mix - 1 item
  • box pistachio pudding - 1 item
  • envelope Dream Whip - 1 item
  • ground pecans optional - 1/2 c
  • 7-Up or club soda - 1 c
  • Frosting:1 box pistachio pudding
  • to 3/4 carton Cool Whip - 1/2 item

How to make watergate cake:

Frosting:1 box pistachio pudding1 c. milk1 envelope Dream Whip1/2 to 3/4 carton Cool Whip1/2 c. ground pecans (optional) Mix the cake ingredients; beat 4 minutes at medium speed. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes. (May need to bake longer if in Bundt pan, up to 35 minutes).

Frosting: Mix ingredients, except Cool Whip and pecans, together until thick, then fold in the Cool Whip. You may add the ground pecans. Keep refrigerated.
