  • sugar - 1 c
  • flour - 1/4 c
  • butter - 1 Tbsp
  • vinegar - 3 Tbsp
  • egg yolks, beaten - 2 item
  • recipe meringue - 1 item
  • baked pie shell - 1 item

How to make vinegar pie:

Combine flour and 1/2 cup sugar in double boiler. Stir in 1 cup boiling water. Cook for 15 minutes. Stir in 1 cup boiling water. Cook for 15 minutes, stirring frequently. Add remaining 1/2 cup sugar and egg yolks. Cook until thickened, stirring frequently. Add butter and vinegar. Pour into pie shell. Cover with meringue, sealing to edge. Bake at 400° for several minutes, or until brown.
