Vinegar pie
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- flour - 1/4 c
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- vinegar - 3 Tbsp
- egg yolks, beaten - 2 item
- recipe meringue - 1 item
- baked pie shell - 1 item
How to make vinegar pie:
Combine flour and 1/2 cup sugar in double boiler. Stir in 1 cup boiling water. Cook for 15 minutes. Stir in 1 cup boiling water. Cook for 15 minutes, stirring frequently. Add remaining 1/2 cup sugar and egg yolks. Cook until thickened, stirring frequently. Add butter and vinegar. Pour into pie shell. Cover with meringue, sealing to edge.
