Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 3 c
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- eggs, slightly beaten - 6 item
How to make egg custard pie:
Scald the milk. Mix together the eggs, sugar, vanilla and salt. Stir milk gradually into egg mixture. Pour into prepared 9-inch pie shell. Bake at 450° for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350° and bake about 30 minutes, or until a knife inserted into center comes out clean. Cool before serving.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pies and tarts, < 60 mins.
