- cut-up carrots - 1 c
- California Blend vegetables - 1 pkg
- can V-8 juice - 1 item
- cut-up celery - 1 c
- medium size onion - 1/2 item
- little garlic, crushed - 1 item
- salt-free Mrs - 2 Tbsp
- total or 1 1/4 lb - 4 medium
- chopped onion 1 medium - 1/2 c
- water - 1/4 c
- cold water - 1/2 c
- all-purpose flour - 1 Tbsp
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- celery seed - 1/4 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- vinegar - 2 3
- cooked bacon pieces - 1 Tbsp
- snipped parsley - 1 Tbsp
- shredded cabbage
- shredded carrot 1 medium - 2/3 c
- finely chopped green or red sweet pepper - 1/4 c
- sliced green onion - 2 Tbsp
- nonfat mayonnaise or salad dressing - 1/4 c
- plain nonfat yogurt - 1/4 c
How to make vegetable soup:
In a salad bowl, toss together the cabbage, carrot, green or red sweet pepper and green onion. For the dressing, in a small mixing bowl, stir together the mayonnaise or salad dressing, yogurt, vinegar, sugar and celery seed.
