Vegetable soup
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 tsp
- pkg - 16 oz
- salt - 1/2 Tbsp
- water - 2 c
- chopped onions - 1 c
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- ground beef - 1 lb
- tomato sauce - 15 oz
- can beef broth - 1 1/2
- chopped garlic - 1 2
- or 3 potatoes - 2 item
- elbow noodles - 1 c
- jar spaghetti sauce chunky, garden style with mushrooms, peppers - 30 oz
How to make vegetable soup:
Cook first 3 ingredients in a large Dutch oven over medium heat. Brown and drain. Add spaghetti sauce and next 6 ingredients. Bring to a boil. Cook, then dice the potatoes. Cook macaroni. Add potatoes and macaroni to pot. Cover, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in frozen veggies. Return to a boil. Cover and simmer 10 to 12 minutes or until veggies are tender. Yield: 12 cups.Recipe categories: < 4 hours, Weeknight, Soups & stews.
