Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 tsp
  • pkg - 16 oz
  • salt - 1/2 Tbsp
  • water - 2 c
  • chopped onions - 1 c
  • dash of pepper - 1 item
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • tomato sauce - 15 oz
  • can beef broth - 1 1/2
  • chopped garlic - 1 2
  • or 3 potatoes - 2 item
  • elbow noodles - 1 c
  • jar spaghetti sauce chunky, garden style with mushrooms, peppers - 30 oz

How to make vegetable soup:

Cook first 3 ingredients in a large Dutch oven over medium heat. Brown and drain. Add spaghetti sauce and next 6 ingredients. Bring to a boil. Cook, then dice the potatoes. Cook macaroni. Add potatoes and macaroni to pot. Cover, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in frozen veggies. Return to a boil. Cover and simmer 10 to 12 minutes or until veggies are tender. Yield: 12 cups.
