  • chopped onion - 1/2 c
  • can corn, drained - 1 item
  • grated Cheddar cheese - 1 c
  • can French-style green beans, drained - 1 item
  • , crushed - 1 stack
  • cream of mushroom soup, undiluted - 1 c
  • Topping:1 stick margarine
  • water chestnuts optional, drained and sliced - 1 c

How to make vegetable casserole:

Topping:1 stick margarine1 stack crackers (1/4 lb.), crushed In a 9 x 13-inch baking dish, layer beans, corn, onions and water chestnuts. Sprinkle cheese over the top. Blend the soup and sour cream and spread on top. Mix margarine and crumbs and sprinkle on top. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes or lightly browned.
