Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 1/2 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • toasted almonds - 1/2 c
  • chopped onion - 1/3 c
  • 3 c - 6 oz
  • mayonnaise - 1/2 c
  • can condensed cream of celery soup
  • sliced celery - 1 c
  • chopped canned pimento - 1/4 c
  • can tuna, drained - 1 1/2
  • sharp processed American cheese, shredded 1 c - 4 oz

How to make tuna-noodle casserole:

Cook noodles using package directions. Drain. Combine noodles, tuna, mayonnaise, celery, onion, pimento and salt. Blend cream of celery soup and milk. Heat through. Add processed American cheese, shredded. Heat and stir until cheese melts. Add to noodle mixture. Turn into 2-quart casserole. If desired, top with with toasted almonds. Bake uncovered at 425° for 20 minutes. Makes 6 servings.
