  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • water - 1/2 c
  • medium tomatoes - 4 item
  • can tomato sauce - 1 oz
  • cooked rice - 3/4 c
  • onions, chopped fine - 3 item
  • large green peppers - 4 item
  • hamburger, cooked
  • stick celery, chopped - 1 item
  • mixed mint, parsley, salt, pepper, garlic powder and oregano, all to your taste - 2 Tbsp

How to make stuffed green peppers:

Wash tomatoes and peppers. Cut top to use as caps after stuffing. Scoop out seeds and some of the pulp. Brown onions in oil and pulp from tomatoes. Parboil the peppers.

In bowl, combine hamburger, rice, onions, 1/4 can tomato sauce and remaining ingredients. Stuff the tomatoes and peppers. Pour 3/4 can tomato sauce on top, 1/2 cup water and 2 tablespoons butter. Cover with foil and bake at 350° for one hour.
