Ingredients/Components

  • eggs, separated - 3 item
  • lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
  • stiffly beaten egg whites - 3 item
  • chopped onion - 1/4 c
  • dash of pepper - 1 item
  • cans tuna - 2 1/2
  • can celery soup - 1 item
  • chopped dry parsley - 2 Tbsp
  • whole wheat or plain bread crumbs - 1 c
  • or 4 lemon slices - 3 item

How to make tuna loaf:

Beat egg whites until stiff. Combine all other ingredients, except lemon slices. Fold into egg whites. Arrange lemon slices in greased loaf pan. Pour mixture into pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until well set. Turn out onto a platter. Serves 6.

Also good sliced cold for lunch or sandwiches.
