Tuna loaf
Ingredients/Components
- eggs, separated - 3 item
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- stiffly beaten egg whites - 3 item
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- cans tuna - 2 1/2
- can celery soup - 1 item
- chopped dry parsley - 2 Tbsp
- whole wheat or plain bread crumbs - 1 c
- or 4 lemon slices - 3 item
How to make tuna loaf:
Beat egg whites until stiff. Combine all other ingredients, except lemon slices. Fold into egg whites. Arrange lemon slices in greased loaf pan. Pour mixture into pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until well set. Turn out onto a platter. Serves 6.Also good sliced cold for lunch or sandwiches.
