  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • chopped pecans
  • milk - 1/2 c
  • flour - 6 c
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • can crushed pineapple, drained - 1 oz
  • plus 1 tsp - 1 Tbsp
  • large bananas, mashed - 3 item
  • bran - 1/2 c

How to make tropical banana bread:

Cream sugar and shortening. Beat in eggs. Stir in milk, mashed bananas and pineapple. In separate bowl, mix flour, bran, baking powder and salt. Add to banana mix. Stir in nuts. Bake in 2 greased loaf pans at 350° for 1 hour.
