Tropical banana bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- chopped pecans - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- dairy sour cream - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 2 c
- mashed bananas - 1 c
- eggs, well beaten - 2 item
- Crisco shortening - 1/2 c
How to make tropical banana bread:
Heat oven to 350°. Grease and flour an 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch loaf pan. Combine Crisco and sugar in large bowl. Beat at medium speed until creamed. Add eggs, bananas and sour cream. Beat until well blended. Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Add at low speed of electric mixer. Mix until blended. Stir in nuts. Spread in pan. Bake at 350° for 50 to 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes. Remove from pan to cooling racks.
