- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- milk - 1/3 c
- flour - 2 c
- water - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- shortening - 1/2 c
- stick butter - 1 item
- In a saucepan, combine and bring to a boil the butter, water, shortening and cocoa
- confectioners sugar white; 1 box - 1 lb
How to make 22 minute cake:
Combine flour and sugar in large bowl. In a saucepan, combine and bring to a boil the butter, water, shortening and cocoa. Pour over flour and sugar mixture. Combine buttermilk and soda; beat eggs slightly and mix with buttermilk and soda. Add vanilla. Add to the other mixture. Pour into a 12 x 18-inch greased and floured pan and bake 20 minutes at 400°.Icing:1 stick margarine3 1/2 Tbsp. cocoa1/3 c. milk1 lb. confectioners sugar (white; 1 box)1 c. chopped pecans When cake has been cooking 18 minutes, combine first 3 ingredients in saucepan used before.
