- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- water - 3 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- onions, chopped - 1/2 c
- canned tomatoes - 1 c
- bell peppers, chopped - 1/2 c
- round steak - 2 lb
- grease - 2 Tbsp
How to make swiss steak:
Preheat electric skillet to 350°. Coat meat with flour, salt and pepper. Cut into serving pieces. Brown steak well on both sides. Mix vegetables and place over meat. Add water and cover. Simmer until tender, about 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Thicken remaining sauce for gravy.Recipe categories: American, Main dish, North american.
