Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1/4 c
- shortening - 2 Tbsp
- can water - 1/2 item
- onion, sliced - 1 c
- generous dash of pepper - 1 item
- round steak
- Vegetable soup - 1 can
How to make swiss steak:
Mix flour, salt and pepper; pound into steak. Place in skillet with shortening and brown; pour off grease. Add rest of ingredients and cover. Simmer 1 hour and 15 minutes or until tender, stirring often.Recipe categories: American, Main dish, North american.
