  • soft bread crumbs - 1/2 c
  • bread crumbs - 1 item
  • large clove garlic, minced - 1 item
  • olive oil or less - 4 Tbsp
  • Swiss chard - 1 lb
  • small tomatoes, seeded and diced - 2 item
  • salt and crushed red pepper flakes to taste - 1 item

How to make swiss chard with tomatoes:

Trim coarse leaves and thick center ribs from chard. Cut tender stems and leaves into 1/2-inch slices. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon oil. Add bread crumbs, stirring often. Cook until bread crumbs are crisp and golden. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Cool skillet slightly. Add remaining oil and garlic. Cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Add chard and cook 1 to 2 minutes or until wilted. Add tomatoes, salt and red pepper flakes. Remove from heat. Serve hot with bread crumbs sprinkled over top.
