Sweet potato balls
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- cinnamon - 1/2 c
- brown sugar - 4 Tbsp
- butter - 1/4 c
- water - 1/2 c
- ginger - 1/2 c
- pecans - 3/4 c
- small can crushed pineapple - 1 item
- large can sweet potatoes, drained - 1 item
- marshmallows and coconut - 1 item
How to make sweet potato balls:
Pour the liquid from the sweet potatoes into a saucepan. Heat with water and sugar. Add mashed sweet potatoes; add butter, cinnamon, ginger, pecans, pineapple and brown sugar. Just bring to a boil; let cool. Roll into balls and roll in coconut. Top with marshmallows. Bake at 350° until browned.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Side dish, Yam/sweet potato.
