  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 3 item
  • vanilla - 1 Tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 5 c
  • buttermilk - 1 c
  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • oil any kind shortening - 1 c

How to make sugar cookies:

Cream the sugar, shortening, salt, vanilla and eggs together; gradually add flour, mixed with baking powder. Mix the buttermilk with baking soda and add, parts at a time. Drop onto cookie sheet and top with raisins or anything you like. Bake at 425° for 8 to 10 minutes.

I mix everything together except the buttermilk and soda.
