Squash dressing
Ingredients/Components
- water - 1 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- margarine, melted - 1/4 c
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- sliced yellow squash - 2 c
- cornbread crumbs - 2 c
- can cream of chicken soup, undiluted - 1 3/4
How to make squash dressing:
Combine squash, onion and water in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat and simmer 10 to 15 minutes until squash and onion are tender; drain well and mash.Combine squash mixture with remaining ingredients, stirring well. Spoon into a greased 1 1/2-quart casserole. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes. Yield: 4 to 6 servings.
