Squash dressing
Ingredients/Components
- water - 1 c
- oleo, melted - 1/4 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- medium onion - 1 item
- sliced yellow squash - 2 c
- can cream of chicken soup undiluted - 1 3/4
- cornbread crumbs - 2 c
How to make squash dressing:
Combine squash, onion and water in saucepan. Bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes or until squash and onion are tender. Drain well and mash. Combine squash with remaining ingredients, stirring well. Spoon into a greased 1 1/2-quart casserole dish. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes. Top with grated cheese if desired.
