Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/2 c
- flour - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- vegetable oil - 1 Tbsp
- egg - 1 item
- garlic salt - 1/4 tsp
- ground cumin - 1/4 tsp
- additional oil for frying - 1 item
- large, fresh picked squash blossoms - 12 item
How to make fried squash blossoms:
In medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, garlic salt and cumin. In another bowl, beat egg, milk and oil; add to dry ingredients and stir until smooth. In a skillet, heat 2 inches of oil to 375°. Dip blossoms in batter and fry, a few at a time, until crisp. Drain on paper towels. Serve warm. Yields 4 servings.Recipe categories: < 60 mins, Appetizers, Stove top.
