Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- peppercorns - 12 item
- sliced carrots - 3 c
- chopped celery with leaves - 2 c
- green split peas
- beef bouillon - 2 c
- meaty hambone - 1 item
- kosher-style garlic frankfurters, sliced or you can use Polish sausage - 6 item
How to make split pea soup:
In large pot, soak peas in 2-quarts water overnight. Bring to boil in same water, reduce heat and add hambone and peppercorns. Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
