Spaghetti sauce
Ingredients/Components
- oregano - 1/2 tsp
- basil - 1/2 tsp
- cans tomato sauce - 2 oz
- olive oil - 3 Tbsp
- tomato paste - 1 (12
- fresh parsley, chopped - 1 c
- large onion - 1 item
- pinch of soda - 1 item
- large can tomato juice - 1 item
- to 5 cloves fresh garlic, chopped - 4 item
- ground round or any meat of your choice - 6 sweet
How to make spaghetti sauce:
Chop onion and garlic fine; brown in 3 tablespoons olive oil in frypan until soft. Add 1 can tomato juice, tomato paste (rinse can) and tomato sauce. Add fresh parsley and pinch of soda; stir. Add salt to taste. Cover and simmer. Fry sausage or brown hamburger; drain. Cut sausage up; add to sauce after it has simmered 1 hour. Add basil, oregano and stir. Cook 2 to 3 hours, cooking uncovered the last hour.Recipe categories: Sauces, Condiments, etc., Italian.
