Ingredients/Components

  • oregano - 1/2 tsp
  • basil - 1/2 tsp
  • cans tomato sauce - 2 oz
  • olive oil - 3 Tbsp
  • tomato paste - 1 (12
  • fresh parsley, chopped - 1 c
  • large onion - 1 item
  • pinch of soda - 1 item
  • large can tomato juice - 1 item
  • to 5 cloves fresh garlic, chopped - 4 item
  • ground round or any meat of your choice - 6 sweet

How to make spaghetti sauce:

Chop onion and garlic fine; brown in 3 tablespoons olive oil in frypan until soft. Add 1 can tomato juice, tomato paste (rinse can) and tomato sauce. Add fresh parsley and pinch of soda; stir. Add salt to taste. Cover and simmer. Fry sausage or brown hamburger; drain. Cut sausage up; add to sauce after it has simmered 1 hour. Add basil, oregano and stir. Cook 2 to 3 hours, cooking uncovered the last hour.
