Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 tsp
  • salt - 2 tsp
  • cloves - 2 item
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • bay leaf - 1 item
  • oregano - 2 tsp
  • clove garlic, crushed - 1 item
  • ground beef, browned optional for meatless sauce, meatballs may be substituted - 2 lb
  • onions, fried in butter - 2 item
  • Tabasco sauce may be added later, optional - 1/2 tsp

How to make spaghetti sauce:

Brown meat; remove from skillet. Lightly saute onions in butter in the same skillet; add remaining ingredients. Cook on low. Simmer for 2 to 3 hours. Return meat to skillet and continue simmering until hot. Serve on spaghetti noodles.

This is actually a double recipe and can easily be divided in half.
