Spaghetti sauce
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 tsp
- salt - 2 tsp
- cloves - 2 item
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- bay leaf - 1 item
- oregano - 2 tsp
- clove garlic, crushed - 1 item
- ground beef, browned optional for meatless sauce, meatballs may be substituted - 2 lb
- onions, fried in butter - 2 item
- Tabasco sauce may be added later, optional - 1/2 tsp
How to make spaghetti sauce:
Brown meat; remove from skillet. Lightly saute onions in butter in the same skillet; add remaining ingredients. Cook on low. Simmer for 2 to 3 hours. Return meat to skillet and continue simmering until hot. Serve on spaghetti noodles.This is actually a double recipe and can easily be divided in half.
