Yakitori sauce
Ingredients/Components
- soy sauce - 1/3 c
- fresh grated ginger or 1/2 tsp - 1 tsp
- sweetener honey, sugar, etc - 2 Tbsp
- sake or white wine Japanese rice wine found in any liquor store - 1/4 c
How to make yakitori sauce:
Mix all ingredients together well. Let food marinate for at least half an hour. Saute or put on skewer and barbecue. Keeps for 2 days. Meats can be frozen in this marinade, then thawed and cooked for a quick meal later. Makes enough for one pound of food.
