Shrimp creole
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 3 tsp
- flour - 1 c
- water - 6 c
- salad oil - 1 c
- chopped celery - 1 c
- chopped onions - 2 c
- chopped parsley - 2 Tbsp
- black pepper - 1/2 tsp
- cloves garlic, chopped - 2 item
- red pepper - 1/4 tsp
- small cans tomato paste - 2 item
- large can tomatoes - 1 item
- chopped bell peppers - 1 c
- chopped scallion tops - 2 Tbsp
- raw shrimp, deveined - 3 lb
How to make shrimp creole:
Heat oil; stir in flour. Add onions, celery, peppers and garlic; cook until soft. Add tomatoes and tomato paste; mix well. Cook 5 minutes. Add water, red and black pepper; simmer 1 hour. Add shrimp; cook 15 minutes. Add parsley and scallions 5 minutes before serving. Serve over rice.Recipe categories: Seafood, Shellfish, Shrimp.
