Shrimp creole
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 item
- shortening - 3 Tbsp
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- chopped celery - 3/4 c
- can tomatoes, cut up - 1 item
- black pepper - 1 item
- small bay leaf - 1 item
- bell pepper - 1/2 c
- clove garlic, crushed - 1 item
- red pepper - 1 item
- beef bouillon cube - 1 item
- raw shrimp - 1 2
- sprig parsley - 1 item
- mushrooms reserve liquid - 2 oz
- few dashes thyme - 1 item
How to make shrimp creole:
Combine shortening, onion, pepper, celery and drained mushrooms in a skillet. Cook until limp. Add rest of ingredients (including mushroom liquid), except shrimp. Cover and simmer slowly for 30 minutes. Add raw shrimp. Return to boil and simmer. Serves 6 to 8.Recipe categories: Seafood, Shellfish, Shrimp.
