Ingredients/Components

  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • water - 1 qt
  • oil - 2 Tbsp
  • salt and pepper - 1 item
  • cloves garlic - 2 item
  • cans tomato paste - 2 item
  • bell pepper - 1 item
  • cooked rice - 1 item
  • shrimp - 4 lb
  • onions - 3 item
  • celery ribs - 4 item
  • to 8 bay leaves - 6 item

How to make shrimp creole:

Use a large pot. Add together the oil and flour, stirring until you have a brown gravy. Add vegetables; cook until tender. Add tomato paste, water and seasonings. Cook slowly for 1 hour. Add shrimp to sauce; cook another 10 minutes. Serve on a bed of cooked rice.
