Shepherd's pie
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/4 c
- butter or margarine - 1 oz
- oil - 3 Tbsp
- egg - 1 item
- hamburger meat
- onion, finely chopped - 1 item
- seasoning to taste - 1 item
- large carrot, finely chopped - 1 item
- mixed herbs - 1/2 tsp
- potatoes, cooked and drained
- sticks celery, finely chopped - 2 item
- beef stock cube - 1 item
- green onions shallots, chopped - 2 item
How to make shepherd's pie:
Heat oil in a large pan and saut meat, onions and carrot over a high heat until golden brown. Add crumbled stock cube, mixed herbs, seasoning, celery and green onions (shallots). Simmer for 5 minutes. Spoon into greased ovenproof casserole. Mash potatoes with butter and milk and spoon onto meat. Brush with lightly beaten egg and bake at 400° for 30 minutes.
