- milk - 1 c
- butter or margarine - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour - 2 c
- oil - 1 c
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- chopped apples - 3 c
- Combine dry ingredients; add combined oil and 3 eggs, mixing until moistened
How to make autumn apple cake:
Combine cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar and 1 egg, mixing until well blended; set it aside. Combine dry ingredients; add combined oil and 3 eggs, mixing until moistened. Fold in apples and nuts. Reserve 2 1/2 cups batter and pour remaining batter into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan. Pour cream cheese mixture over batter; carefully spoon reserved batter over cream cheese mixture spreading lightly to cover. Bake at 350° for 55 to 60 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes and remove from pan; cool thoroughly.Whipped Cream Topping:2 Tbsp. flour1 c. milk1 tsp. vanilla1 c. butter or margarine1 c. sugar Cook flour and milk together until it thickens, then cool.
