Savory crescent chicken squares
Ingredients/Components
- cream cheese - 3 oz
- milk - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- margarine, melted - 2 Tbsp
- black pepper - 1/4 tsp
- cooked, cubed chicken - 2 c
- can crescent rolls - 1 oz
- cracker or bread crumbs - 1 item
- chopped pimento optional - 1 Tbsp
How to make savory crescent chicken squares:
Preheat oven to 350°. In bowl, blend the cream cheese and 2 tablespoons melted margarine. Add chicken, salt, pepper, milk and pimento. Separate crescent rolls into 4 rectangles; firmly press perforations to seal. Spoon 1/2 cup chicken mixture onto each rectangle. Pull 4 corners of dough to top center of chicken mixture; twist slightly and pinch around edges to seal. Brush tops with melted margarine; dip in cracker or bread crumbs. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Chicken, Main dish.
