  • sugar - 1 Tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • 12 oz - 1 lb
  • chopped onion - 1/2 c
  • prepared mustard - 2 tsp
  • dash of pepper - 1 item
  • diced celery - 1 c
  • slices bread, toasted - 3 item

How to make scalloped tomatoes:

Cook celery and onion in butter until tender. Blend in flour, butter and toast; cut in 1/2-inch cubes. In 1 1/2 quart casserole, combine onion and celery mixture with tomatoes, half of toast cubes, sugar and seasonings. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Top with remaining toast cubes. Bake 20 minutes longer.
