  • sugar - 1/4 c
  • milk - 2/3 1
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • baking powder - 2 Tbsp
  • vegetable oil - 2/3 c
  • sifted flour - 4 c
  • corn meal - 1/4 c
  • sausage - 2 lb

How to make sausage swirls:

Sift dry ingredients together. Blend in oil. Add enough milk to make a stiff dough. Thinly roll out dough on lightly floured board into two 10 x 18-inch rectangles. Spread with sausage and roll up lengthwise. Chill well and slice. Bake in preheated 350° oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
