Sausage muffins
Ingredients/Components
- pork sausage - 1/2 lb
- all-purpose flour - 2 c
- baking powder - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- large egg, lightly beaten - 1 item
- butter or margarine, melted - 1/4 c
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 1/2 c
- vegetable spray - 1 item
How to make sausage muffins:
Brown sausage in skillet. Stir until it crumbles; drain and set aside. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Make well in center. Combine milk, egg and butter. Add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened. Stir in sausage and cheese. Place baking cups in muffin pan and spray cups. Spoon batter into cups, filling 2/3's full. Bake at 375° for 20 minutes until golden brown. Remove from pans. Yield: 12 muffins.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Muffins.
