- sugar - 3/4 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- flour - 2 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- pecans - 1 c
- jar maraschino cherries, drained - 1 10
- vanilla - 1 tsp
How to make cherry pecan bread:
In a large bowl, cream butter, sugar and eggs until fluffy. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Add to mixture with buttermilk. Beat until blended. Stir in nuts, cherries and vanilla. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 55 to 60 minutes. Remove and cool. Glaze with confectioners' sugar icing.Recipe categories: Breads, Fruit, Nuts.
