Monastery pumpkin bread
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon
- salt
- water - 2/3 c
- nutmeg
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- vegetable oil - 1 c
- large eggs - 4 item
- sifted flour
- canned pumpkin - 2 c
- walnuts - 3/4 c
- sugar or 2 cup white sugar and 1 c - 3 c
How to make monastery pumpkin bread:
In a bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Break eggs into mixture. Add the oil and water. Mix until all ingredients are combined. Add pumpkin and mix. Don't overmix. Pour batter into 2 pans (10 1/4 x 3 5/8 x 2 5/8). Sprinkle chopped walnuts over top. Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hour.
