Salted nut bars
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 1 Tbsp
- all-purpose flour - 3 c
- margarine, softened - 1 c
- corn syrup - 1/2 c
- 1 c - 6 oz
- margarine - 2 Tbsp
- brown sugar, firmly packed
- mixed nuts or cocktail nuts - 2 c
How to make salted nut bars:
Heat oven to 350°. Combine flour, brown sugar, salt and 1 cup margarine; mix well. Press into ungreased 15 x 10-inch jelly roll pan. Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Sprinkle nuts over partially baked crust. In small saucepan, combine corn syrup, margarine, water and butterscotch chips; boil two minutes, stirring constantly. Pour cooked mixture over nuts. Bake 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown. Cool.
