Salmon loaf
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 3 Tbsp
- all-purpose flour - 2 Tbsp
- butter, melted - 1 Tbsp
- dry mustard - 1/2 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
- chopped onion - 1 Tbsp
- soft bread crumbs - 2 c
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- can salmon, drained and flaked - 1 lb
- slightly beaten egg - 1 item
- Combine milk and egg
- Piquant Sauce - 1 item
How to make salmon loaf:
In a bowl, combine salmon, crumbs, onion, butter and salt. Combine milk and egg. Add to salmon mixture and mix well. Shape into loaf in greased, shallow baking pan. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes. Makes 4 servings. Serve with Piquant Sauce.Piquant Sauce:2 Tbsp. chopped green onions3 Tbsp. butter2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour1/2 tsp. dry mustard1/2 tsp. salt dash of pepper1 1/4 c. milk1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce Cook green onions in butter until tender, but not brown. Blend in flour, mustard, salt and dash of pepper. Add milk and Worcestershire sauce.
